For the second year in a row, Novatize and Léger surveyed Canadians to measure how their use of artificial intelligence is evolving within the context of online shopping. By repeating the same questions asked in 2025, the 2026 edition goes beyond short-lived trends to identify the behaviors and practices that are becoming firmly established in consumer habits.

- How AI adoption is evolving in Canadian eCommerce
- The most popular AI use cases among consumers
- The product categories where AI is gaining traction the fastest
- The key motivations behind using AI during the online shopping journey
- Practical implications for retailers, manufacturers, and distributors
- Opportunities to help your organization prepare for the future of commerce
The study was conducted by Léger among 1,525 Canadians aged 18 and older. The questionnaire used in 2025 was repeated in 2026 to measure changes in consumer behaviors, intentions, and expectations regarding artificial intelligence in online shopping journeys.
